It's hard to say, really.
In manamon 1, magic types are pretty common, but so are electric and poison types (a lot of Octoross's goons have awful manamon).
In manamon 2, shadow types showed a surge in popularity, as did undead, while magic was definitely on the decline. There are quite a few ghost, flame and earth types overall though.
