Re: Blind Quest: The Enchanted Castle is available now!
Hello Max_Depa,
I hope you don't think I'm rude.. I'm a blunt and honest person. Its not one of my best qualities, and my girlfriend hates that about me. haha Developing an audio game can't be easy, and I doubt many people who read this forum could actually do it successfully on a level that turns a major profit. That being said, I feel those of us who paid have the right to our open honesty..
I've beat the game twice, and now understand some of the things I criticized before without really understanding the game.. Monsters reappear so you can keep gaining healing potions, and I found that out the hard way. lol Sometimes you must backtrack to find the big bosses in levels. This is actually my first RPG, so I can't really hold it up next to anything for comparison.. I use to think those games were a bit nerdy.. I grew up street, so excuse me folks.
I forgot to take notes because I have a lot to do, but here are some things off the top of my head.. The game feels really slow, and drags on and on. Maybe thats the point of the story, but I get sleepy. I gotta drink lots of coffee to make it through.. The game features many of the same sounds as the Inquisitor games, and many of the Audio Game Store's other titles.. Since this is advertised as new, and separate from all those, why is that? Its true that the worlds have new sounds, but hearing the same samples as I heard in The Demon slightly spoils the "brand new experience" for me. The Demon wasn't a cheep game, and people paid good money for what felt like an unfinished game.. Plus there are many sound affect websites out there. I'm sorry for not elaborating on my issues with the combat feature. My issue was with the lack of options, and sounds. Every attack and strike sounds exactly the same.. Weather big or small, Nathan sounds exactly like his adversary in a dual.. That makes no sense to me.. Plus, is a wolf using a sword? Is a toad using a sword? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I think in an RPG, these details would have been thought of.
However I can't wait to see what you're doing with the new combat system, and am looking forward to it. Please let me know when it is ready. I appreciate your effort, and thank you for taking all of our feedback into consideration.
God bless,
