@5: you can debug Python in the same way like any other programming language. I personally prefer simple messageboxes and my own intuition over debuggers, but that's a personal choice, you can use any debugger or profiler you wish, that supports Python. Gdb is one of them if I remember right, it works fully in command line, so it's accessible. And I bet there are many others, as Python is already a quite popular language.
