Accessible e-mail client for Linux

Hi guys,
I have a simple question for those of you using Linux. Do you know of any accessible e-mail client for this platform?
I am on Ubuntu Mate, searching for a suitable option. My first try was Thunderbird, as it works quite well on Windows, but that was sadly not the case here. Itþs not that it didnþt work at all, it worked as expected on folders with few thousands e-mails, but when I was crossing one with about 53000 messages, Orca got completely stuck and there was no way to view the directory.

I have tried Evolution as well. In one thread on orcaþs mailing list I had feeling, that some people are using it, but either I did something wrong, or newer versions are less accessible, but although I was able to login to my account, I canþt even expand my e-mail account branch where I suppose messages are stored and neither navigate the list of messages, if there are any at all.
My attempt to send a message failed as well, I didnþt get the behavior of the sending dialog.

As I saw, there are more recommended options on Linux, such as MailSpring, but I didnþt try them out yet.

Do you have any suggestions for me, regarding this topic?

Thanks!

Best regards

Rastislav
