Re: Best class for and some hints on playing World of Legends?
okay I'm giving the game another run now.
I must admit, mage seems the hardest class to play as, since spells can fail, where as special attacks can't, and damage vs mana isn't good as compared to special attacks or use of the bow, actually it would've been nice if different classes actually did specialise in different things, or at least did different things better, since as I remember when I first played as an archer I didn't have as good a time with the magic either.
I also really think the prices of tokens vs crafting potions are a bit bonkers, I mean 30 tokens for a 400 hp potion, which normally costs 1000 gold? I suspect that originally the developer perhaps planned to put in other ways of getting tokens and bars than buying them, say as random rewards for monster killls, which would make this make sense, then sort of forgot, especially the way that the legends long sword and elf helm are the best items by far for a long time through the game.
Oh well, it's still fun even if a wee bit unbalanced.
to people having trouble with the meadow house puzzle, I actually had to look up what the developer said in the original world of legends topic posted in 2006 (wow I'm old!), .
It's basically a standard mastermind guess the combination type puzzle, however the combination is a set of four numbers, and they only occur once, in the code.
Sadly I don't think anyone actually tells you this in game, but once you know those facts figuring it out should be easy.
now I am going to need to level up high enough to defeat the bosses in the ocean city .
