Re: Manamon and Manamon 2 move diversity: my thoughts

I think we have two main problems here.
The first one is about the debelopment team; I have no idea about how many peopple works in making the game design, although the credits seems to says that Aaron does most of them by him'sself, and as the amount of moves and manamon grous up this may require more testing and brainstorming; pokemon has lots of peopple working on this, so I see why it may be happening.
The second problem is that Aaron is not too mutch interested in the  online mode, or atleasts it seems so, taking into consideration that the only improbement for this from manamon 1 is the onlyne server.
The thing here is that the game works as it is in the main adventure, without having more move diversity, and maybe for Aaron doesn't worth the efort.
It seems that with the breeding Aaron gave a little step to competitive, but it needs a lot of work.
I'm not saying that the game is good as it is, or trying to defend the game, because it really lacs in this aspect, just trying to find an explanation.
I would love to see a more online battle based game in the future; a main  server with public rooms like CP does, more move diversity, the posibility of having spectators and choosing the leads in the battle, as well as seeing the oponent team. Just as it is now is not so good because maybe they included it just for having it, and for them it is not important (or it seems to)... and it should be, because it gives the game a lot of replay value.

Just for giving some examples, the diversity is not even present in the phisical or special side; and yea, some manamon are meant to be phisical or special, but some other have potential in both sides.
For this I'm talking about manamon like aracnite, mentioned before by jaide. It has good strenght and magic attack, although it's special
attack is a little bit higher, and with some more moves it could have different movesets, or even making a mixed attacker would worth it, taking into consideration it has terramagma.
we have dramegon and dragomier as more examples. both have good strenght and magic attack, but not options to choose.
In the water (and special) side dramegon has drench, waterbomb, wind force and deluge; by the dragon side just dragon fan, draco breaker and the great new... dragon burst! Why giving it deluge and dragon burst and not hulricane or dragon furi, for example? it's manapedia entry says literally that when it absorbs water it can create great water tornados, it can fly, and it's previous form is air and water type... and about absorving water, why it can't learn Acatic blitz? it's description literally says that the manamon absorbs water and then attacks, and acording with the manapedia this is what dramegon does. Maybe if they give hulricane, acatic blitz and dragon fury the player may choose if they want a phisical or special attacker, or even a mixed one.
Dragomier, by the other side, has blaze rampage, draco breaker and wing slash by the phisical side, and by the special side it has... dragon blast and dragon heart.
Maybe with atleast fire stream (which as long as I know any new manamon can't learn, BTW) and even wind force it could have options here. Im'm not even asking for firestorm, fly or suicide dive.


The thing is, maybe with a move tutor ot TM like pokemon does this could be more interesting; make it hard to obtain, having to redeem them in some kind of challenge at the postgame if you want, but the game really needs it.
