Re: Restricted/new users: introduce yourself!
Hi there! My name is Jesse D. I've been in love with adventure games (among other games, and other things) since I was about 7 or 8 years old playing on my parents' atari 130XE. Text adventures and sierra-style quest games were some of my first favourites, and I only grudgingly accepted pointing and clicking when it became the norm.
In the last few days I've been thinking a lot about how those early games with text input could be adapted to accept speech commands, and rendered as audio. It seems very likely that a lot of people have probably already put a lot of thought into that idea, so I wanted to seek out where those conversations were happening, and learn where it's at.
This site and forum seem like the right place! That's why I'm signing up.
