Re: Does anyone here play with a controller paired with their phone?
yup, I would give this a shot also.
for your question, complex, accessible arcade games with touch controls? , well none so far honestly, but something unrelated with arcade, there are these MMORPGS audiogame from Chinese, one of them is dreamland, it's already translated to English but not perfect, so this dreamland game is cross platform, meaning that you can play on windows, android and IOS, and each platform could do things equally. so as you guess, for the phone version, we have to use gestures, the screen is divided into 2 section, the lower part works as your character movement, such as moving around, attacking etc, while the upper part works as target list, channel history, etc, I honestly think the developer did a great job on this, although sometimes it feels a little clunky and overwhelming do to a huge amount of gestures to remember. the game uses unity as the engine, and keep me wondering, why the western audio game developer doesn't follow this design.
