@4, story of my life. I'm weak and give into tech releases like this. Plus, if it's a bust, I can always send them back. But, come on, that probably won't happen.
@5, I vaguely remember some dropouts when I had my last pair of XM3's. That's unfortunate you're dealing with that. I know the XM4's are rocking BT5.0 (not 5.1 I don't think), but that's still a worthwhile upgrade.
I'd be interested to know more about the WF1000XM3's, but that's slightly OT, so feel free to message me privately about your experiences with them. I had AirPods Pro some time ago, but they didn't stay in my ears. That was also before I knew about skins that go over them to help mitigate that problem, but I really don't want to drop another $250 on yet a pair of Apple earbuds.
