For exchanging files Sendspace is too expensive and too slow and cumbersome for free users.
It's not very popular on DDL forums, and searching anything on filestube never returns any working Sendspace links.
A free user can only download one simultaneous file.
But an alternative like Zippyshare is free, allows unlimited simultaneous downloads, and no longer requires captcha.
Zippyshare even has its own upload tool for Windows.
For Mac OSX and Linux one can get Plowshare mentioned above and upload from the command line.
