Re: Introducing you to my antique clocks
Hi!
So I'm just listening to the audio now and, if I were a cat, I would be purring.
I love, love love love love those clocks.
I actually own an old 1920's to 1930's westminster clock which came from my grandfather. I got that repaired and it now chimes very nicely, although the chimes are not quite in time (sad!).
Having had to pay out for the repairs once or twice, I definitely feel you on the funds side of it.
When I went to the clock repair shop there was this very large grandfather clock which had a very old, Victorian style bong and it went off while I was in the shop. I nearly cried I wanted it so much but my bank just would not let me. Sniffle sniffle.
I am just listening to the clock tour now. Such an awesome recording and so nice to find a fellow clock enthusiast!
I wish they made a grandfather clock style that was readable by the blind, or at least had some sort of function!
Edit: I still live at home, so sadly I have to be careful with my chimes, you are so lucky to not have this issue. So... I'll be moving in next week!
Edit 2: you have a really good voice for recordings. Just thought you should know!
