I also recommend Uriq Linux if you're looking for a fully FSF (Free Software Foundation) compliant Linux distro. In other words, Uriq only uses free software (think free speech, not free beer), which means you can't easily play MP3's or use Adobe Flash, and it may not work with your video card of choice since most video drivers are closed-source proprietary software. Solus also might be worth a look, and Linux Mint 20. IMHO, those are the best current Ubuntu-based distros out there, although there are many other flavors of Linux worth trying (Arch, Fedora, Etc).
