I admit I was not entirely clear on what the above answers give me?
In so far as I've looked into the subprocess module and studied the shell attribute, though with only limiting success.
I simply wonder whether there is an easier solution! I mean look at youtube DLG, that does not flash up with command lines.
Never the less, I shall keep looking and figuring out
