Re: Fury Driver - Moonwalks: races in a city full of crime (Demo)

Hey. So after playing the demo, here are my thoughts.

I'm gonna start with the positives.

I like the narrator you guys used. He doesn't sound as forced or as artificially excited as in audio rally racing or space encounter.
What I find strange though is that it refers to Vergil as a third person, while it talks to you as the pplayer directly. It works, but it does feel kind of strange.
Also there are some grammatical issues that need to be ironed out.
Example: in the office it says: "Among other things, Vergils police ID are on the desk." It has to say, that his police ID is on the desk, and not are.
There is another example, that I don't remember now.
Also, the narrator rushes through his lines and just seams to want to get them out as fast as possible. Why not relax a little and tell the story in a more organized fashion.

Now the more negative points.
The story seams highly constructed.
As an example, you talk to officer Fox who tells you that your office is on fire. only after that the game tells you that you have been smelling the smoke for a while now. Umm what?
After you extinguish the fire, you can walk into your office just normaly as if nothing had ever happened. This is just poor game design.
Then, you walk towards the garage, but can't open the shutter and only exermine the police car.
But if you go back to the station and leave through the normal exit door on the street and pick up the politician, you are suddenly told that you are in a car, although you haven't even moved it from the garage.

I checked back, the car was still in the garage and the shutter was closed.
Interestingly you can move to the apartment or the pharmacy without ever noticing that you are in a car. Only if you get chased in the Getto, the car part kicks in, and here is the biggest issue of the game.

The racing sections feel needlessly clunky. What you need to do is constantly spam up arrow, avoid objects with left and right as well as make turns, all while constantly pressing up arrow. Not holding it as if this would be a normal racer, no, you need to friggin spam the darn key.

Also, what are these beeping objects on the road? The game only does tell me that these are random objects that I have to avoid. But come on, put some effort into the part of the game that is standing out.

The games advertisement says that racing plays an important rule. But as it came clear from the above paragraph, the games biggest selling point is also it's greatert weakness.

While at it, the story is also laughable at best. The highly important politician you pick up turns out to be an under cover agent?
Come on, this doesn't even fit a 80s trash movie. An under cover agent of what? that moon walker group? But why is he a politician then? How should he be an under cover agent if everyone knows his face? Is he a tripple agent? Is he able to shape shift? Is the story just badly written and as inconsistent as the games of audiogame.it generally are? You decide.

So, here are some suggestions.
- let the narrator record all the lines, only slower this time, including correct grammar.
- Objects should disappear from rooms if they are used, for example the police car.
during races, make it so that you have to hold the up arrow and not spam the key.
the objects should actually fit the story and not just be beeping things on the road.

Generally, put some more effort into the story.

The game does feel really good, it just has the normal and long standing issues of Ticon Blue, audiogame.it or how ever these guys are called now.

Greetings Moritz.
