It's funny you asked this because I just started playing star conquest. I think when the game opens you just type create and it will guide you through the rest of the process. You will need to create a user name and a password and then you will get an email to confirm your account. Click the link in the email and fill out the form that pops up and your account will be confirmed and you can start playing. Just log back in and you can start.
I don't know what sound packs are out there for star conquest but you should search the forum to see if somebody has posted one. A good mud client to use is musclient which is on the database here and is completely free and easy to use. You should dowload the zip file unzip it and you can use it. First when you open it press alt f to open the file menu and select new world. This will create a new world. Now put in the the name of the mud like star conquest or alter aeon then put in the website and port number and
press save. Now go to open world and select star conquest make sure that once you open it that you turn on the jaws or nvda cursor otherwise the text won't be read correctly. Now you can start playing the game will tell you what to do.
