YSK that 1/8 of a second (125ms) is beyond the range of what the average human can physically react to. At the low end of that window, you'll want it somewhere near 215ms. This is of course, providing that there is no pattern to to learn that will help them predict the appearance of an enemy. Then it becomes less of a reaction time problem and more of a strategic one.
