Linux Questions
Hi Everyone.
I have been considering getting linux for a long time. I have looked on amazon and have found ubuntu linux on dvds and it says it's the complete installation package. It costs 30 usd and I was wondering if I download ubuntu linux online do I still have to pay for it or is it free to download? Also, I have a windows 7 computer. I have heard you could set up an operating system as a virtual machine. I don't understand what that means exactly but I also heard somebody on this forum say that you can set linux up as a duel boot. The way I understand that is that I would turn on my computer it would load and then I could choose between running linux or windows. Do I have this correct? And if I do how do I set linux up as a duel boot? Is this process accessible?
