Re: Grail to the Thief: An Interactive Audio Adventure

Hi.
I haven't had time to check the latest build yet, but I have two quick questions:
1: Wil it b possible to save the game when the full version comes out?
2: Will you be able to fail the game, like choosing the wrong choices, people will get mad at you or kill you? I love the story, but the game is not currently challinging at all, because you can just keep choosing random choices without failing, because there aren't any conciquences on doing so.

1. We decided not to implement a save feature because it would have required additional resources and pushed the release date further back (we're only a three man team, with one developer). We didn't think the delay would have been worth it because a single play-through of the game can be completed in about 45-60 minutes, which makes saving unnecessary.

2. It's not possible to fail at the game. It's desig ned with a strong focus on narrative, and our research and testing during development of the prototype found that the majority of users did not enjoy failing at a game like this, as they would have to replay large chunks of the game again if they failed. We have some ideas for how to make a narrative driven game more challenging that we'd like to test out if we make another game, but for that to happen Grail to the Thief needs to sell enough copies to warrant a sequel.

I found a bug.
The voice that asks if you want to quit the game is a little farther to the left than all the other voices.
also, when choosing yes, the first second of the last event you were on plays before the menu loads.

Thanks, we'll check this out.
