Ah, but if everyone in the world were more logical than emotional, that wouldn't necessarily be a good thing.
Humanity is a balance between intellect and emotion, impulse and forethought. While I think that there are a lot of people who do rely too much on their emotional responses, think of all the professions that would simply evaporate if emotion were squashed. All the human services professions, for one. Although actually, they would probably turn into "logic programmers", people who tried their best to stomp out the emotional triggers and responses of others. What a scary world that would be, and probably one that's explored in a ton of dystopian novels.
