Re: Swamp, zombie fps by Aprone
Hello everyone. So I just started playing Swamp. I must say I love it and will be getting a subscription soon.
But for now, I'm just experimenting with custom campaigns.
I've created an ally named destroyer. Whenever it kills a zombi, I want it to randomly use one of the Brags, Battle cry, or Greeting voices. Right now I just have it to use Brag1.wav and I can't even get that to work. I'm going to post my mod of the sample file and let you all have a look. This may not even be possible to do what I want to do. But I don't know.
I should also point out that I posted some guards in the game.
But here is the code.map=multi1
x=30
y=14
god mode
quest= There really is no quest. This is just here as a test.
say=This is just a test of the new campaign mode. There is very little point to this file except to give people a working file to experiment with.
add spot 35,16,37,16 dire=1
add spot 35,16,37,16 guard=1
starting gear
add item 1 35,16,37,16 AA12
give item 1 Glock 17
level=10location event 3,3,10,10
add random tyrant=100
add spot 3,3,10,10 guard=10
add Ally spot 7,7,7,7 name=Destroyer gun=MP5
set ally voice Destroyer=46
set ally mission Destroyer=wander
set ally aggression Destroyer=full
set ally ammo Destroyer=777
set ally clip Destroyer=77
set ally awareness Destroyer=10
set ally aim Destroyer=3
set ally shot delay Destroyer=0kill event=tyrant
ally sound Destroyer=voices\1\Brag.wavpickup event AA12
say=This gun will help you survive.zone1 event Jackson street
level up
try this to randomize your brag voice:
...
//creating variables:
new var destroyervoicenum=46
new var bragvoice=0
...
//set it to a random number between 1 and 3 and make kill event:
set ally voice Destroyer=[destroyervoicenum]
+-1+block kill event=tyrant
set var bragvoice=[random/1/3]
if bragvoice=1 then play sound=voices\[destroyervoicenum]\brag1.wav
if bragvoice=2 then play sound=voices\[destroyervoicenum]\brag2.wav
if bragvoice=3 then play sound=voices\[destroyervoicenum]\brag3.wav
end event
...
plug the rest of code in place of the ellipses. You needed to make the event execute over and over. events will only run once unless you tell them otherwise by adding a +-1+ in front of the event. Correct me guies if I have this wrong. I'm doing this on a computer with out swamp, so I can't really test it. also: can you do that trick with variables in paths? I just came up with that idea typing this. It'll be until friday until I have access to my PC.
