Re: Attacked On A TeamTalk Server
Hi,
I'm also part of a semmy private server, and let's just say I'm not leaving, I've been welcomed there. I've learned not to trust public servers, and here's why:
I found a public server on twitter once, things were fine, I was having a catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in years. However, after a while someone else showed up, someone unfortunately familiar to me. This person has been known to cause trouble on servers. I gave the main admin a heads up just to keep their eyes open, just in case. I forgave the person as I knew that it had been in the past, though, and just moved along.
However, some other members then recognized this troublemaker on the server, and gave the admin warnings. But the admin didn't listen. He paid the price. The server is no longer public, it is password protected, and perhaps most interestingly of all, I'm not aloud back even though I was the one warning the admin in the first place, so I j
ust moved on.
Luckily the private server was up during all of this time and hasn't gone down, in fact it's gone from strength to strength, and that's the one that I won't be leaving anytime soon because unlike the admin on that public server, this one can spot trouble from a mile off.
