I cannot speak for others personally, but I will say... I'm not unwilling to listen to what anyone else has to say. that is why I'm in this discussion to begin with. Do I think there's a possibility that I could be wrong? on some things, yes... but in my fundamental belief that God exists and that I have a relationship with him, I can't say I do think so. Having an open mind and respecting others' beliefs is not the same as agreeing or accepting them. At least, not in my mind... if I have come off as close minded to some, I appologize... that is certainly not my intent. But I am fully aware that I cannot and will not force others to my beliefs. I can only share them... do I think I'm right? Yes... but that does not mean I am going to take a bible and slap someone in the face with it simply to prove a point. And the principle reason for believing I'm right is because I have had personal experiences to prove to me that god is who his word says he i s... but those are just that, personal, and there's no objective way to prove it to please the skeptic other than sharing in the way I already have.
