I think that Rory may have some kind of mental deficiency. Most people, no matter how immature, are as persistent as he, and so obsessed with just a few things for so long. All he cares aobut is zombies and AA, and he only likes AA because of the zombies on it for the most part. He also does not seem to understand when people give him warnings, advice, or recommendations on how people can like him more, which is kind of sad because he knows but doesn't know what to do.
