What operating system are you running? It doesn't sound like a standard Windows feature so if you are running Windows you may need to look to third party software you have installed. Also a bios password should only limit access to the bios, unless you have it set to request on boot which would only affect the boot up and not log off, so I don't see that as being the issue unless something very strange is going on.

Hmm, so there is a lock option in Windows, I never knew that was there before. I'm curious though why you want to lock your computer if you're logging off.
