Yeah, with that one I'd go for Ryu as well, sinse I always got the idea from mortal Kombat Liu Kang really wasn't that tough anyway. Then again like most Mortal Kombat characters he has the power to be bought back so long as he remains popular, it's one thing that always amuses me in the Mk plot, the fact that a series famous for it's fatalities and death and blood and gore, actually can't! have characters exit the series ever at all ever! .
Now a more interesting sf vs Mk would be Guile Vs Sonia. Where as with Jacks the money is clearly on jacks, sinse he has the hole robotic arms thing going for him, Sonia would be a much fairer opponent for guile, sinse both have power to throw sonic fireballs, and while Sonia is obviously more well armed than Guile, Guile is a far better all rounder and not reliant on one weapon or style the way
Sonia is, plus given Guile's big American military man thing, I'm not sure if he'd be willing to hit a woman (indeed I can't think of any instances in any sf media where Guile's fought a woman, not with his relationship with Chun Li and his alliance with Cammy). Sonia on the other hand would have no problem hitting a man, as she does often .
I suspect Sonia would come out on top in that one, though if chun Li came back for revenge my money would probably be on Chun Li, sinse Sonia has no chance against someone who can kick a hundred times in a minute .
