I can stream lossless to SB1 overwireless fine. In this case slimserver is actually sending either uncompressed wav or mp3 (if bitrate limiting is set for the player). Do you have bitrate limiting set?
You don't say how this is wired up - are both hops wireless? With SB1, there is a relavely small buffer on the player (when playing uncompressed). This means the server needs to respond rapidly to requests for new data. The server does not cache any input data when serving what it thinks are local files. If the file are on a network server and the server is slow responding, this could potentially cause it to slow down reading the file. This may be your problem. Have you tried running slimserver on the server machine itself (as then the files are local and slimserver can access them imediately). -- Triode ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19286 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
