"Is there a high-end receiver which eliminates the need for a separate
DAC, pre-amp and amp?"

I'd spend $300 on Behringer deq 2496 (digital equalizer) and the
companion microphone and a cable. Then another $230 on a Panasonic
Xr55.

The Panasonic does truly wonderful things with direct digital input.
So there's no need for a DAC. The DEQ does wonderful things to the way
the sound out of the speakers mates with your room. Both items
together are awesome.

SB -> DEQ -> Panny

I'd save the rest for music, because after you've got this wired up and
have done the RTA on your room you're going to want to run out and buy
some new music.

I doubt your paradigms are bi-wirable, but if not then that can be next
on the list of things you look into down the road. Some nice speakers
with separate binding post pairs for high and low.

I trust you're storing your music in losless format?

edit: ok you said no new music, then just save the cash...
