Sean, at that bit rate (2.8224Mbps), one period is 354 ns. Obviously
that is several orders of magnitude greater than the jitter rates you
gave. I had always thought (or been told) that samples could occur at
any time during a clock cycle, which would mean the jitter should be on
the order of the clock frequency (or reciprocal time period). Also, how
does this bit rate you gave link to the oscillator frequency, which is
something like 12MHz, right?
