I just couldnt wait so I picked mine up last night and was up till 2 am listening to it. I have to say I am very impressed. I have had a SB1, and SB2 with red wine mods (now for sale) an SB3 and now the transporter.
Total of 4 combined units around the house They are driven by a windows 2003 server (multi processor with 1.5 TB of storage and over 1100 albums on it so far. Yes insert I am a geek) I drive the transporter directly to a Classe 201 amp with Thiel 2.3 speakers using the balanced outputs. Before the transporter arrived, I had the adcom 750 in the loop Took out the adcom and now my system sounds better than ever before. My reference was a California Audio Labs Cl-10 CD player and the transporter sounds richer and better than the reference device (which uses the same dac as the SB3). Perhaps the adcom sucked the life out of the music or perhaps the transporter is supior - Whatever it is my whole collection needs to be listened to again. bottom line - even the wife said - dont tell me how much you paid - we can save by not going to concerts anymore - this is awesome. Well done to Sean and the team for such an outstanding product. -- ScoobyMusic ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ScoobyMusic's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7221 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27857 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
