You don't need to "trust" anyone. Just read about how clock syncing works and you will understand! Once you have confined the clock integrity issue to the DAC, the only issue then becomes getting the data to it.
I'm sure there are those who will claim that clock sync cable quality is critical, just as some will claim that a particular hard drive or ethernet cable sounds better.
