I tried to understand how these graphs translate into real world performance, but I can never do it. I just do not have the technical knowledge. What I know, however, is when I first connected the Transporter and listened to it in my setup, the sound was shockingly good. I have no doubt a great deal of top notch engineering has gone into the design and execution, and the sound, and imo, sound alone, is enough to prove that.
That is why I have replied on those threads wanting to modify the Transporter to wait and listen first. The Transporter is indeed an excellent sounding machine, even when compared to my DCC2 SE which costs over 10x more. The Transporter presents a real value and shows how solid design and engineering can make a true audiophile grade product affordable. -- WSLam WSLam 'Transporter' (http://www.slimdevices.com/) + 'SB3' (http://www.slimdevices.com/) -> 'EMM Labs DCC2 SE' (www.emmlabs.com/html/audio/dcc2/dcc2.html) -> 'Acoustic Reality eAR1001' (http://www.acoustic-reality.com) -> 'Magico Mini' (http://www.magico.net) 'Photos of Transporter, Inside & Out' (http://photos.lam.ws/gallery/1930618) | 'Photos of my Setup' (http://photos.lam.ws/gallery/1573984/1/87768997) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ WSLam's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=830 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28126 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
