a simple question - if both devices are accessing the same source
(i.e.MP3 on a MAC G5) - how is it possible the Transporter can sound
better unless the SB2 is not capable of reproducing the source in the
original quality.

I would think there's no way to improve upon the source by using a
high-end playback device and the only way to have higher quality sound
is to improve the source quality (bit rate, etc.) and then maybe i'd
exceed the capability of the SB2 and that's where the difference
between the SB2 and Transporter would show.

could someone explain this to me?
