No problems out of the box - works as default: XLR connections Pin 2 hot - connection to RCA centre pin, Pin 1 ground - connection to shield / ground on RCA phono. Leave Pin3 XLR unconnected.
Set to crystal lock. Volume at 40 (equivalent to typical cd player output). Check for green lock light. Enjoy the music.
