I've done blind testing before. I've also tested MP3 against FLAC on
my system (though not completely blind). I don't need to convince
myself, I know what I hear, despite others claiming I am simply fooling
myself.

I'm not an "audiofool", I don't believe in magical tweaks etc.... But
I do know that there is a difference between MP3 and FLAC. MP3
compression damages the audio signal, it "has" to by it's very nature.
I can hear it. If you can't, that's cool. Just don't tell me I can't
either.

Blind testing proves little. Example, a recent study showed a group of
supposedly qualified people (classical musicians and so on) could not
tell the difference between the sound of a Strad and a far more run of
the mill violin. But, anyone who believes that they sound the "same"
is deluding themselves.

Adam.
