i currently have a laptop with a 40gb hard drive. i want a squeezebox3, but want all my music as FLAC first. SO, i need more space. simple, you may think. buy an external hdd. however, my laptop is so bad (dell inspiron 1100) that is barely has the processing power for EAC and rips take 1/2 hour. until eventually they ake over 1 hour, becuase of the heat.
What should i do? i need it to serve my squeezebox.
