Without making anyone nervous, the analog out of SB3 is pretty good. I had a hard time hearing differences between it and my Philips dvd 963SA with clock upgrade, via electrostatic headphones. Funny, via the speakers, switching back and forth via the remote, it was a bit easier, but there isnt much difference. The Philips is widely known for its good, and overachieving sonics, a kudos to SB3 that is.
