Shocking but true, but as has already been alluded to, you're ahead of the 'mass-adoption' curve already at this point. Slimserver/Squeezebox provides the platform, but the supply of digital music for 'hi-end audio' still needs to catch up. You can buy very expensive boxes that automatically rip CD's for you, but otherwise, getting lossless (CD-quality) music files is still a bit of a bleeding-edge exercise, and has no future as a business, as it will eventually be co-opted by direct purchase of lossless files via the internet. Really, you can thank the RIAA for making 'computer audio' difficult to get set up - they don't want you to do it! -- nicketynick Wireless SB3, Denon DRA-F101, Mission M31 loudspeakers WinXP SP2 Slimserver, SMC WBR14g router http://www.last.fm/user/nicketynick/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ nicketynick's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1511 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37190 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
