Ideally I'd like to run the SB3 optical output into the DEQ2496 for equalization then run it back into the SqueezeBox3 for D/A conversion but the SqueezeBox3 doesn't have an optical input for that ... maybe someday?! (SB4)
That's interesting about equalization not making much improvement for you, I wish I was in the same boat. Your listening room must be pretty good to begin with. Unfortunately, my situation is far from optimal as my system is currently in the living room, I don't think the wife would tolerate any room treatments in there!
