If a system sounds life less i would check out the Sonus Faber speaker line especialy the Cremona line. The are so far away from steril borring analytical sounding speakers as you can go, but ironicly the also great hifi and so damm musical.
I remeber when i demoed amps some years back and listend to linn amps some of the cheapers ones the sound was very steril i would say musical but very steril . It was through B&W speakers. Then we hooked up the cremonas to the same system and right there i became a hardcore sonus faber entuiast and have been ver since . The sound was magical. Sonus fabers work extremly good with gear that is a littel steril and dry otherwise the sound to warm and dark .
