Hello,

Per my other thread, I have issues with the fact that the SB3 does not
fully turn off its coax digital signal when it is turned off. As a
result, my MSB link DAC sees the SB3 and it does not allow the other
input to provide data, since the coax digital is the primary input.

My CD transport only has RCA and digital optical out, so I can't attach
the CD transport to the primary input (coax digital) and solve the
problem that way... currently my only solution to use the dac for both
inputs is to disconnect the SB3.

So my thought was, could I either get a converter that goes from
toslink to SPDIF, so that I can connect my CD transport to the coax
digital input on my DAC, solving this issue, or else use a splitter to
allow both the CD and the SB3 to be entered via a single connection
(TOSLINK) into my DAC.

I want whatever method I choose to be transparent to the user - the
connecton to be passive.

What is the best way to change/split/combine digital signals to
minimize connectors without effecting sound quality???

Thanks!!!

JMH
