firstly ....don't believe all you read on the interweb secondly do you trust your own ears ?
if you don't then your in the wrong hobby ! conversely if you do go out and try different cables for your self ...most respectable dealers will loan you a set and if they don't go some place else ! some things that might be useful to know ...... what sort of coathanger was used was it steel or copper .....? how did they make an interconnect out of a coathanger ? what plugs did they use ? what did they insulate the coat hanger with ? how long were each set of cables ? there are hundreds of factors that can influence the sound not least the equipment and how it reacts to the electrical parameters of the various conductors ..... now that said any self respecting audiophile is not going to use monster cable as its performance is limited at best .... I also feel that this article sound anecdotal rather than actual but we have no way of knowing .... As previously stated you need to use your own ears to make up your mind rather than read dubious tests of with little or no validity...imo -- zanash Acoustician and builder of interesting cables ------------------------------------------------------------------------ zanash's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12157 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44124 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
