The Lavry has an adjustable attenuator.  It's used to match the output
of the DA-10 to an amp or preamp.  You want as little attentuation as
possible, so set it as high as you can without overdriving your amp (or
preamp).  Take a look at the specs of your amp and see what voltage
input it wants.  Next, take a look at the DA-10 manual.  I think
there's a table that shows the max voltage output at the different
settings.
