Using firmware 40 depends on your specific situation.... I ran it for a month, and had only one, unrepeatable glitch. But then I'm not using all the options, the volume control isn't used, and I only rarely use the digital inputs as I have another DAC which I use for other digital sources. Most of the problems seem to center around these two functions.
