I've been listening to my MWTP mostly in my office system and only a few times in my main rig. I use a Primaluna Dialogue 2 in my office and of course use it single ended. In my main rig, a BAT setup, without any thought, I use it balanced. The MWTP sounded a little bass shy, short on dynamics and a little soft on top with the BAT stuff. So after some tube swapping and some head scratching I tried it single ended. New RCA's are part of the mod and the old RCA's are disconnected. What a difference. The frequency extension is back as well as the dynamics. It went from dullsville to musicland. Almost any review I've ever read said, if something can be used balanced it should be. I was a bit surprised to find, in this case, the opposite to be true. Anyone else have a similar experience? Thanks for any replies.
