The main USP of these UPS's (sorry) for us is the fact that with an on-line UPS the connected equipment is never connected to the mains...
It seems to me that ANY equipment could benefit from using a synthesised, battery powered AC supply. However, looking at my gear it's my 6 power amps that drain all the current and thus push up the price of the UPS. I reckon I could run the rest of my (quite complex) rig on a 1000VA UPS. Now, if I could only find one that was: 1) on-line 2) cheapish 3) smallish I could give it a try. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...SB3+Stontronics PSU - Altmann JISCO/UPCI - TACT RCS 2.2X + Good Vibrations S/W - MF Triplethreat(Audiocom full mods)- Linn 5103 - Aktiv 5.1 system (6x LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend Supertweeters, Kimber & Chord cables Outdoors: Boombox+Creative Sub (If I remember to turn it on...) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Phil Leigh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=85 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52348 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
