Yes I know I am sad.
Anyway, I was goofing around yesterday and I tried to look at the spdif
o/p from the SB. I have a Philips/Fluke 60Mhz scope of 80's vintage
which works perfectly AFAIK. However, I couldn't get a nice stable
trace. Timebase autoset to 50nS. Is that low enough for spdif
frequencies?
I thought someone on here might know...

One really odd other thing I noticed...looking at the audio o/p from my
DAC, a sine wave looks beautiful (Alan Parsons soundcheck cd rip)
whereas a squarewave from the same source looks...really not much like
a squarewave.
Any thoughts?

You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it
ain't what you'd call minimal...SB3+Stontronics PSU - Altmann
JISCO/UPCI - TACT RCS 2.2X + Good Vibrations S/W - MF
Triplethreat(Audiocom full mods)- Linn 5103 - Aktiv 5.1 system (6x
LK140's, ESPEK/TRIKAN/KATAN/SEIZMIK 10.5), Townsend Supertweeters,
Kimber & Chord cables
Outdoors: Boombox+Creative Sub (If I remember to turn it on...)
