Is it possible to select source via the settings menu on 7.3 as you can on 7.2.1 ? If so, I can set up my laptop as a wired (to router) source on my network and copy across some files into a music directory. I can then switch between sources using the SB3 remote. Both PC's have XP Pro with SP3 installed - browser is Firefox 3.0.4/5 (it's downloading an update as I type, and both machines will be using the same version) - other than that the hardware should be irrelevant, yes/no ? Will I get a prompt about firmware when switching between sources ? If so, then I should be having to switch firmware betweem 113 and 120 dependant upon the source and the software level of squeezecenter installed. If your answer to all of the questions I raise is yes, then I will embark upon a listening test switching between sources. I would also ask other members of the BB to do the same.
