I have never read anything about it, but isn't replaygain a bad thing as far as sound quality is concerned ? Since it involves reducing the volume, there is necessarily some loss of information somewhere, so I guess it would be a better idea to always play at the maximum volume and adjust your amp...
So, what do you guys (and girls) think ? Does replaygain reduce sound quality ? if so, is it noticeable ?
