Glad someone has brought up the subject of attenuators. I am getting a pooping sound when using my SB into a Behringer SRC2496 and the output from the Behringer could be way too high and is possibly overloading my amplifier (Pioneer A9) thus causing popping sounds. If I use my aged Cambridge A60 amplifier there is no popping sound, so perhaps the overload level is higher on the Cambridge than the Pioneer. Strangely when I used the digital output from my CD player into the Behringer and then out to the Pioneer amp there is no popping at all. It is the second Behringer unit that I have tried, same thing
