Ah, I've got an old Classe 5 pre-amp. Do digital inputs, but I did buy a nice Kimber Kable balanced cable. It opened up the highs a bit, but didn't warm it up at all. Actually, the definition in the highs are nice, but had the opposite effect of warming it up.
